TEAKEN Prior of Chard ABC is targeting an upset when he boxes in the semi-finals of the England Youth Boxing Championships in Portsmouth on Saturday.

Prior’s reputation has frightened off all prospective opponents on his way to this stage.

But his record is unlikely to worry Saturday’s opponent Zak Chelli of west London club Dale Youth.

Chelli already has one championship under his belt, having won last year’s 70kg title.

And he underlined his class in an England vest when winning his first bout in the world youth championships last season.

Dale Youth is one of the most renowned clubs in the country and has produced a string of excellent boxers including Olympic gold medallist James DeGale.

Prior’s trainer, Keith Roberts, said: “We are expecting a tough bout but Teaken’s training has been going well and we are quietly confident.”
