ILMINSTER Men’s run in the Denny Plate came to an end when they lost 93-64 to Cotswold BC of Stroud in the last 16 of this national competition.

Ilminster Ladies lost to Taunton Deane BC in the Double Rink by just six shots in a very close game.
Scores – home: Myra Childs, Heather Sims, Dot Whelan and June Checketts 21, S Evans 16; away: Val Dargue, Rita Grout, Margaret Evans and Penny Stow 10, D Routley 21.
On Sunday the men played a three rink match against the Somerset Under-25s.
After an enjoyable match, with some very good bowls played, the county claimed two rinks to win 70-52.
