CHARD B won 9-0 against ECV Hornets in Cullompton in South East 3 of the Davis Wood league.

Chard dominated the game with their goalkeeper touching the ball on two occasions.

The first-half started briskly with a goal by Duncan Lewis settling the nerves, a goal line poach by Durgan Cooper and then one of four goals scored from penalty corners converted by Alan Cheffey for his first of the season, with Cooper sealing off the half with a strike into the bottom corner.

Through the half many attacks ably assisted by great running down the right wing by debutant Tm King who created confusion in the home sides defenc.

The second-half was much the same, the home goalkeeper having a blinding game pulling off as series of great saves to keep the score down, however the impressive Murray Wheaton converted two, Steve Dare battled with himself not to score but eventually found the roof of the net, Nick Parki nson latched and the last goal came from Lewis.

The result ensures Chard finish second and now need one more win to be champions.
