CHARD Ladies beat ECVH 2nds 3-1 in Sedgemoor Division 2 of the West Clubs women's league.
They started slowly and allowed Hornets to score first but fought back strongly and equalised through a well taken Ruth Butcher goal.
The home side appeared much better organised in the second half. The midfield backed up the forwards and the teamwork improved.
Katy Jones came up from defence for a short corner which she hit with immense power to put Chard in the lead.
The third goal was an individual effort from Maya Preston who worked skilfully to beat several defenders before hitting a good reverse stick.
Chard work hard throughout and could have scored more.
