THERE is no Easter Monday match for Chard Town this year, as their scheduled game with Almondsbury was called off this morning following a pitch inspection at Zembard Lane.

They are currently 12th in the Toolstation Western League First Division table, following their 4-2 loss at Bishops Lydeard on Good Friday.
Two goals in the first five minutes set Lydeard on their way to victory in the derby.
Ryan Brereton put them ahead after just 40 seconds, with a penalty from Mark Clunie doubling the lead shortly afterwards.
Chard pulled one back after quarter of an hour through Ryan Parris but Lydeard restored their two-goal advantage on the stroke of half time as Jordan Lovibond finished a fine move.
Liam Cleal set up an exciting second half by reducing the arrears to 3-2 soon after the restart, and it took Brereton's second three minutes from time to finally settle Lydeard nerves.
Chard are next expected to be in action on Wednesday, April 4 (ko 7.45pm), at home to Ashton & Backwell United.

ILMINSTER Town's game at Shirehampton has also been called off today.
