CHARD Town travel to Portishead tomorrow (ko 3pm), looking to improve on their start to the season that has brought two defeats.

After a 2-0 home loss to Warminster Town last Saturday, the Robins were beaten 3-1 by Wincanton Town on Wednesday night, again at Zembard Lane.

Chard took the lead against Wincanton, having started well kicking down the slope - Liam Cleal scoring in the ninth minute.

Both goalkeepers made good saves to keep the scoreline at 1-0 at half time, but the visitors dominated after the break.

Marcus Cook scored a hat-trick - the goals coming on 63, 87 and 90 minutes - and the Robins could not respond.

Chard's match at Portishead is followed by a home game against Bristol side Roman Glass St George on Wednesday (August 16, ko 7.30pm).
