ILMINSTER Town were denied the chance to draw level on points with Somerset County Division 1W leaders Portishead after their match at Winscombe was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Blues remain three points behind Portishead with 38 points from 18 games, the league pace-setters having 41 points from 17 matches.

Next week the team have a free weekend with no fixture.

Their return to league action comes with an away trip to Glastonbury (on March 18, ko 3pm), where the Blues will be back to full strength, as Jonny Manley returns after serving his three-match ban.

This coming Saturday they are in action away to Upottery Reserves in the Geary Cup quarter-final (ko 2pm).
