IN the Perry Street League Premier Division Beaminster are third after beating Forton Rangers 2-1.

A free-kick from Dan Baggs gave Beaminster the lead with Forton levelling with another free-kick from Andy Stevenson. Josh Hunter netted the winner for the home side to end their two match losing run.

Andy Whitefield and Jan Kasper had given leaders Barrington a two-goal lead before West and Middle Chinnock fought back to claim a point with Tom Charles’ free-kick and a late Liam Bennett leveller.

Perry Street had already dumped Chard United out of the Chard Hospital Cup and the Challenge Cup and on Saturday they made it a triple success with this rather one-sided 8-0 triumph in the league.

Rumours are rife that Perry Street have applied to play at a higher level next season and on this form they could more than hold their own if they do take a step up.

Goals came from Callum McHattie (3), Josh Chadwick, Connor Richardson, Sam Bond, Darren Contreras and Steve Baker.

Combe Reserves lost 2-1 at home to South Petherton for whom Jamie Underwood and Danny Rendell cancelled out Josh Manley’s goal.

Winsham United controlled the game with Shepton Beauchamp for long periods and went ahead in the 23rd minute through Henry Broome.

After the break Shepton got back on level terms seven minutes from time with a Jamie Spurdle penalty and earn a point to see them remain in second place.

In Division One Tim Hussey’s 409th goal in the league helped Pymore win this Dorset derby over near neighbours Beaminster Reserves 2-1. Shane Webb was the winners’ other marksman with John Kingston replying for the losers who drop below their opponents in the table.

Combe A bounced back after failing to score in each of their last three games when beating Uplyme 3-2 thanks to Owen Ladd, Matt Quayle and Ryan Scott.

Jordan Turner, Dave Lock and Simon Manley were on target for Ilminster Town Colts who beat Crewkerne Rangers 3-1 at home, Tom Fussell netting for the visitors and Barrington Reserves had players missing due to injury and unavailability, but still did enough to overcome Thorncombe who remain bottom.

Gethyn Jenkins hat-trick was enough with Dan Winters scoring for the home side.

In Division Two Tyler Perret gave Hinton St George an early lead but Combe B hit back to go 4-1 ahead before Shane Jewell netted a second for the home side. Mike Usher (2), Neil Reed and Shane Scott netted for Combe.

Nigel Jeffries scored for Kingsbury who went down 3-1 at home to Chard Utd Res who had Liam Male (2) and Arthur Mather on target while a Jack Murrell double was enough for Farway United at Merriott Dynamos.

Winsham Utd Reserves Danny Slade hit a thunderous winner from 30 yards that gave Thorncombe Reserves keeper Andrew Sochon no chance. The keeper gave a superb display where he made half a dozen excellent saves including a penalty from Willis Lawrence.

Dowlish and Donyatt kept their ninth clean sheet of the season by hitting seven goals without reply against Drimpton Reserves to remain six points clear at the top. Nathan Doey, Chris Tanner, Steve Usher, Dan Vining, Luke Dopson, Adam Payne and Gavin Babb all scored.
