CHARD Town have a ‘point to prove’ when they visit War-minster Town in the first division of the Toolstation league on Saturday (3pm).
When the two teams met at Zembard Lane in September the Robins suffered a 4-0 drubbing with all the goals coming in the second half.
Manager Adam Fricker said: “That must have been the worst 45 minutes of football we have played all season.
“We just didn’t come out of the changing rooms at half time and were very poor. Thankfully we couldn’t be playing with more confidence at the moment and we’ll definitely be going there with a point to prove.”
Last Saturday the Robins won 3-1 at Keynsham Town to make it five wins from six in the league and move up to eighth in the table.
Fricker added: “Their 3G pitch takes some getting used to, especially as the ball tends to run more slowly than usual.
“But we gave nothing away and took our chances well.”
