ILMINSTER Town continue their battle against relegation from the premier division of the Somerset County league when they visit Watchet Town on Saturday (2pm).

Watchet are enjoying a good season and lie sixth in the table, but the Blues will be encouraged by their 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture when Taylor Jeff-erson nabbed the winner.

Ilminster will be without Ashley Locke for another week while Alex Paul will have a test on a hamstring.

Last Saturday Ilminster lost 4-0 to Odd Down reserves but manager Darren Manley was not too concerned about the result.

He said: “They have really streng-thened their team and losing to a side like that will not decide our season.

“The way I look at it is that there are 42 points up for grabs, starting on Saturday.”

After trailing 2-0 to Odd Down at half-time, the Blues hit back with Charlie Rutter pulling a great save out of the keeper with a fine volley.

But after Brad Miles was sent off Ilminster were twice caught on the break as they pushed forward to get something out of the game.
