CHARD reserves had too much pace for a big Seaton side on Sunday winning 1-0 away in the premier division of the Fresha Devon and Exeter league.

Despite the scoreline, Chard ‘keeper Dale Wood had to make three excellent saves, but by half time the visitors had built up a 3-0 lead.

On the 15th minute mark, James Boyland robbed a defender to slip the ball under the home ‘keeper to put Chard ahead.

This was quickly followed by a second when Ed Butcher, returning from injury, slipped the ball past the onrushing ‘keeper.

Chard added a third when Boyland broke down the left and squared the ball for Max Westlake to finish neatly.

Boyland added a fourth midway through the second half, with a goal similar to his first, robbing a defender and slotting past the home ‘keeper.

Butcher raced away to again shoot past the ‘keeper to complete the nap hand.

Late on, Seaton one back from penalty spot and also had a player sent off.
