CHARD Town Under-18s’ Somerset Floodlight Youth League encounter at home to Bridgwater last Tuesday was postponed very late, with all the Chard players and some of the Bridgwater squad already at the ground.
Chard manager Hung Dang was phoned by the Bridgwater boss an hour before the 7.30pm kick-off to say Bridgwater were unable to raise a side.
Chard were subsequently awarded three points for a win, taking their total for the season to six points from three matches.
Their next game is away to Clevedon Town next Wednesday (October 8) at 7.30pm.
