ILMINSTER have won the Somerset County League’s ‘Respect Award’ for the premier division.
The award went to the club showing the greatest percentage improvement in the Respect marks given by referees.
A league spokesman said: “In a change from previous seasons, where the awards were given to clubs at the top of the marks after 10, 20 and 30 games, the league, embracing the principle that the aim of Respect is to improve behaviour, decided to reward improvers.”
Other winners: Division 1 – Shepton Mallet reserves; Division 2 (E) Cutters Friday reserves; Division 2 (W) – North Curry.
