ILMINSTER Town are facing a jam-packed end to the season following their recent spate of postponements.
The Blues’ game against Weston St Johns last Saturday was called off by the council on Friday morning – and manager Darren Manley says the final month of the campaign is set to be very busy.
Manley said: “Last weekend’s postponement means we have got midweek games pretty much every week now – and there’s one Bank Holiday weekend where we are playing Tuesday, Saturday, Monday, which will be a test.
“Obviously with midweek games, players’ work commitments come into it, but we’ve got to deal with it and we’ve got a lot of promising youngsters signed on who can do a job for us.”
This Saturday Ilminster are due to entertain Berrow in the Errea county league at the Recreation Ground (3pm).
