THERE'S good news for those who purchase memberships for Somerset County Cricket Club.

With just two weeks until membership for the 2017 season, the club has announced that thanks to amazing support this year, it will be freezing prices on all membership categories.

Somerset CEO Guy Lavender said: “These are very exciting times for the Club.

"With the current crop of players on the threshold of something very impressive plus international cricket coming to the Cooper Associates County Ground in June, 2017 promises to be a sensational year for Somerset County Cricket Club.

“The support that the club received from our members throughout the 2016 season was phenomenal and it is only right that we should do something in order to thank them for their continued backing.

"With this in mind, I am delighted to be able to announce that there will be a price freeze in Membership prices across the board for 2017.”

2016 was an excellent season for the club both on and off the field.

The team finished as runners-up in the Specsavers County Championship and reached the semi-final of the Royal London One-Day Cup while, for the first time ever, platinum membership sold out.

More details on Membership will be released soon.

2016 Members will receive their Membership renewal packs through the post during the week commencing November 14.
