JOSH Davey finished with figures of 4-68, but it wasn’t enough to stop Scotland from slipping to a 119-run defeat to England in Christchurch.
The Somerset all-rounder was the pick of the Scotland bowlers - dismissing Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, James Taylor and Chris Woakes – as England racked up 303-8 from their 50 overs, mainly thanks to a century from Moeen Alin.
But Scotland were bowled out for just 184 inside 43 overs, with Davey being dismissed for just nine.
Former Somerset wicket-keeper Jos Buttler scored 24 from just 14 balls and took four catches as England romped to victory.
