CHARD Sunday A travelled to picturesque Sidmouth hoping to continue their run of victories.

Skipper Bruce Crabb lost the toss and Chard were asked to field and with a good batting track and fast outfield, the home side were hoping to post a large total.

Despite getting off to a good start and reaching 44 after the first six overs, the Chard attack pulled things back.

M. Munday batted the whole innings for Sidmouth for 99no and D. Limbs hit a quickfire 30 as the home side finished on 187-4 from their 40 overs with wickets for Andrew Clancy, Scott Todd and Richard Scott.

In reply Chard got off to a good start through Jon Scott (31) and continued at a steady pace throughout their innings closing in on the Sidmouth total.

Joel Tratt (71no) batted through from number three and 32 from Andrew Clancy was enough to see Chard home in the 37th over.

This was another good win for Bruce Crabb's team and are back in Sunday League action against Taunton St Andrews next week.
