SOUTH Petherton bowls club played four games in the Wessex Friendly League in the past few weeks.

First they visited Somerton and managed to win on two of the four rinks and drew on one, scraping an overall win by two shots.

Next up Pethy entertained Sherborne, this time managing to win on three of the four rinks and by a healthy overall score of 22.

The side continued their winning ways on a visit to Queen Camel where they won two and lost two rinks but took the overall game by 11 shots.

Most recentlythe team went to Castle Cary where they achieved their biggest win by taking all four rinks and an overall score of 39 shots.

There was then a Two Counties League match at home to Crewkerne. Once again Petherton came out winners on three of the four rinks and by an overall score of 11 shots.
