ON Sunday, Chard travelled to Castle Cary for a game of mixed triples played on four rinks in the Wessex friendly mixed league.
The match was a thrilling affair as the lead changed hands on multiple occasions, but eventually it was Castle Cary who came out on top, 82 shots to 68.
Chard won on two rinks and gained four points, but with Castle Cary also winning on two rinks, and the match overall, they gained 12 points.
If anyone is interested in playing bowls, please come along on a Thursday evening at 6pm for a roll-up.
You don't need any special clothing and it is possible to borrow shoes and bowls from the Club.
