BOWLS: Crewkerne find it tough
CREWKERNE Short Mat Bowls Club suffered a 79-18 defeat in a mixed friendly at Chard.
Scores: Jean Lane, Tricia Harris and Gordon Bodily lost 3-23; Dave Charnick, Gwen Saunders and Carol Thackaberry lost 9-13; Dave Charnick, Gwen Saunders and Carol Thackaberry lost 2-22; Jean Lane, Tricia Harris and Gordon Bodily lost 4-21.
Crewkerne’s mixed friendly at South Petherton was a closer affair but they still lost 46-34.
