ILMINSTER played their first game in the indoor season when a mixed double rink lost 45-38 at Puriton in the Somerset and Devon league.

On Sunday Queen Camel were the visitors for a three rink mixed friendly with Ilminster losing 53-46 despite winning on two of the three rinks.

CHARD A had their first game in the East Devon League last Monday when they drew 4-4 at home to Colyton B. The visitors won 59-52 on shots.
MILFORD and Dormor solicitors are again sponsoring a winter competition for Short Mat players this year.
The first matches took place at Chard on Thursday.
The Royals beat the Hurricanes by 18-7. Their win included a Hot Shot.
Hot Shots are normally quite a rare occurrence and yet the Magpies also scored one against Greyhounds in their 25-10 victory.
