Ilminster AA members headed to Isle Brewers for round three of the Royal Oak league.
Weights were much better than of late and lots of roach and gudgeon featured in catches along with the odd better chub.
Pike were a problem for several of the anglers with the river running low and clear.
Bruce Hunt was top on the day from peg 128 with a stunning net, mainly of roach, weighing 19lb 4oz.
Steve Parker was second with 8lb 9oz from peg 126 and Jamie Rich was third with 6lb 8oz from peg 124a.
After three matches and dropping the worst result, Rich leads the league with two points, followed by Rob Cox, Steve Parker and Graham Field with four.
This Sunday sees round four of the V.E.S. Precision league and the draw is at the Royal Oak between 8.30am and 9am.
Result: 1 Bruce Hunt (Tiverton) 19lb 4oz, 2 Steve Parker (Ilminster) 8lb 9oz, 3 Jamie Rich (Against Men and Fish/Burt Baits) 6lb 8oz.
