ROY Hellier led the way with 66 as Perry Street amassed 208-2 on their way to a 78-run win against Merriott in Division Two of the Chard Insurance Evening League.
Kev Reid (24) was also in the runs for Street, while Merriott were restricted to 130-9 with Don Whitcombe scoring 33.
South Petherton were 64 all out against Broadway and Horton with James Toland, James Bray, Richard Young and Miles Siguse all taking two wickets.
Broadway lost nine wickets in reaching their target with one ball to spare – George Williams took 3-15 and Sarwan 2-9 for Petherton.
Chardstock made 119-7 against Thorncombe – Nick White led the scoring with 30. Thorncombe made 101-7 in reply with Jamie Barfoot scoring 36.
Martock reached 76-7 against Hatch Beauchamp with Guy Woodgate making 25 and Dave Croft picking up 3-13. In reply Hatch made 79-1 with M. Johnson scoring 38.
In Division One, half centuries from Sam Spurway and Steve Hurford helped Ilminster bounce back to winning ways with a narrow tenrun victory against Crown. Spurway scored 53 and Hurford an undefeated 68 to help Ilminster reach 146-5.
Crown fell just ten runs short on 136-5 with Josh Houst making 41 and James Mactravers 43.
3Cs maintained their 100% record by beating Kings Head by 64 runs.
3Cs hit 130-9 thanks largely to Joe Seward’s 58 while John Heddy snapped up 4-29.
Kings Head were then all out for 66 all out, with Richard Scott taking 4- 15. Gary Warren took 2-19 and picked up four catches.
Casuals made 126-4 against White Horse with Steve Dening making 72 not out, and Wayne Long 24. Ian Lee took 2-11 for White Horse who knocked off the runs for the loss of one wicket with Chris May 63 not out and Shaun Johnson 39 not out.
Barrington knocked off Ilton’s 109-7 for the loss of three wickets with Will Spurway making 44 and Stuart Payne 41. Chris Bussell took 3-18.
In the KO Cup, Barrington beat White Horse, Casuals defeated Broadway and Horton, Ilton beat North Perrott and 3Cs beat Kings Head.
The semi-finals will be played on Monday, June 29. Line up – Barrington v Casuals at Ilminster.
