CHARD Rugby Club have continued with light and fun training sessions during the off-season, and they have now upped the intensity by adding five extra sessions on Wednesday evenings under the guidance of former Exeter player Matt Jess, who played well over 100 games for the Chiefs.

The first of these sessions was held last Wednesday, and despite the hot weather it was very well attended, receiving positive views from both the Chard players and their coaches.

The second of the Wednesday sessions will take place tonight (7.30pm), and everyone is welcome, with Chard very keen to recruit as many players as possible.

GROUP: A good turnout for training at Chard RFC.

Chard looks to be going places as a club, and with three senior sides can offer something to everyone – from those who are keen to develop and play fast attractive rugby at a high standard in the South West, to those who are content to play good rugby at a slightly more sedate pace.
