Chard Town and Ilminster Town are among the teams to now have free weekends ahead of them as postponements mount up across the region in light of recent snowfall.

Chard's home match against Chippenham Park in the Toolstation Western League First Division is off, while all the Somerset County League fixtures have been postponed.

That includes Ilminster Town's home game against Bridgwater Town Reserves in the Premier Division, while Combe St Nicholas picked a good weekend to be without a scheduled Division 1W fixture.

Everything in the Perry Street & District League is off, while Perry Street & Yonder Hill v Wellington Reserves in Division One of the Devon & Exeter League is also postponed.

Two Chard Town matches have been rearranged - the game at Devizes Town originally scheduled for this Tuesday (March 6) will now take place on Tuesday, April 10, while the home match against Bishops Lydeard which was postponed on Wednesday night is now set for Wednesday, March 21.

Chard Rugby Club have also seen their schedule for the weekend wiped out - the first XV's match against Sidmouth will now be rearranged.
