CHARD Town's Boxing Day match with local rivals Bishops Lydeard was called off at short notice, having been declared able to go ahead this morning.
The club Twitter account announced that the match would take place earlier in the day, but shortly before the 3pm start the game was forced off.

It is a second postponed match for the Robins - having also seen Saturday's match with Wincanton Town called off - and they sit 13th in the Toolstation Western League First Division standings.
The Robins are due to play at home again on Saturday, December 30, when Malmesbury Victoria are the visitors (ko 3pm).
Ilminster Town have enjoyed a good Christmas break from Somerset County League (Premier Division) action, and they return to action on December 30, at home to Bridgwater Town Reserves (ko 2pm).
