EARLIER this month, Holyrood Academy hosted the Primary Swimming Gala at Cresta Leisure Centre.
The afternoon saw Avishayes, Redstart, Tatworth, Manor Court and Combe take part.
The swimmers competed across a number of different races, all in with the chance of being crowned Year 5/6 and Year 3/4 champions.
A substantial audience attended the event, and they watched some exceptional swimming skills being displayed.
The points for each individual race were combined, which meant that Tatworth received the trophy for winners of the Year 3/4 competition, while Redstart claimed the Year 5/6 competition.

Holyrood Academy’s sports coach Shannon Sims said: “The afternoon was great fun, the standards were so high and the children enjoyed every minute of it.
“They even had time at the end to have a bit of fun before the results were announced.”
