CHARD Town welcome league leaders Keynsham Town to Zembard Lane, in Division 1 of the Toolstation Western League, this Saturday (ko 3pm).

Chard’s home record of eight wins and two draws from 12 games is in direct contrast to zero away wins and only three points out of a possible 30 on their travels.

They were beaten 3-0 by Westbury United last time out.

Chard chief Paul Down rated his team’s performance at Westbury “as our worst for a few months, but you learn more about the players in defeat.

“We will have to regroup quickly as we face a stiff task against visitors Keynsham on Saturday, who were impressive earlier in the season.”

Talented Scott Jakeman, who turned 18 recently, is available again after being absent the last two matches, as is Dave Duarte.

One big doubt is Luke Jackson, whose hamstring problem forced him off at Westbury.
