SOMERSET’S Anya Shrubsole recorded impressive figures of 3-6 to help England Women to an emphatic eight wicket victory over New Zealand in Whangarei, in their opening T20 fixture.
Shrubsole’s stunning spell ripped through the New Zealand top order to reduce them to 18-6, before they were eventually bowled out for just 60 in 19.4 overs.
England cruised home inside 12 overs thanks to an unbeaten 32 from captain Charlotte Edwards..
