CHARD travelled to South Petherton to play a friendly match which resulted in a draw at two games each although they did win 43-36 on shots.

There was another week of close games in the Milford and Dormor league.

Strangely both matches ended in identical score lines.

Royals are the only team not based at Chard and it can take them a few ends to get re-acquainted with the mats.

They started slowly against Hurricanes and were 5-1 down after the first few ends before drawing level at 5-5 by the halfway point.

Then they really put their foot down to take the match 15-9.

Greyhounds faced Magpies when they were unable to make it three wins on the bounce.

Greyhounds were ahead nearly every end until the last two.

Magpies drew level twice and going into end 13 it was 9-9. But Magpies took the last two ends with large shot counts to win the match 15-9.
