CHARD A suffered another defeat in the East Devon league, losing 6-2 at home to Hemyock B. The score was 53-42 in shots.
Their only two victories came in the singles.
In the Milford and Dormor mixed triples Magpies and Hurricanes were all level at the half-way mark.
But Magpies pulled away to win 13-10 despite Hurricanes taking the last two ends.
Harlequins finally lost their unbeaten record, going down 14-11 to Royals.
After nine ends the score was tied at 8-8 but then Royals pulled ahead.
Although Harlequins took the last end it wasn’t enough.
