ILTON Cricket Club held their annual presentation evening at the club last week.

Awards were presented for both senior players and club members in recognition of achievements during the past season.

The year was particularly challenging for both 1st and 2nd XI teams, but still a notable one, with many outstanding individual performances to be recognised.

Many youth players made promising performances especially Brett Venn for his outstanding batting and bowling performances for the 1st XI throughout the season.

Another youth player, Harry MacDonald, who also displayed an all-round talent, and won himself the ‘Young Player of the Year trophy.

Other young players who produced good performances included Luke and Harry Mitchell, Josh Philips, Brenden Paul and Dean Male. The Clubman of the Year award, chosen for their dedication in supporting the club and making successful progress with the junior and youth players, went jointly to club coaches Amber Watson, Damian Price, Nick Auger.

The presentation was completed with a ‘thankyou’ from club chairman Tim Lloyd to the committee and volunteers for all the time and energy they donate to keep the club running.

Special mention went to Amber Watson and Damian Price who are both devoted toward making the club a success.

Their tasks range from managing adult and junior teams, green keeping and managing club faculties.

Secretary Nick Watson & club mark co-ordinator Dave Dibb were thanked for their help during the season. Club awards: Sunday bowler, Nick Hitchcott; Sunday batsman, Barry Isaacs; Sunday player of the year, Dean Male.
