THIS year saw 320 clubs take part in the Davidstow Village Cup – the world’s biggest amateur cricket competition – culminating in a final at Lord’s.
Entries are now open for 2015 and can be submitted through an online form at www.thecricketer.com/enternvc any time before the Monday, December 1 deadline.
The two finalists will be accommodated in the same hotel used by the England cricket team and provided with cup final suits, thanks to T M Lewin, the official formal wear suppliers of Alastair Cook’s men.
The Cricketer’s Managing Director, Andy Afford, said: “The Davidstow Village Cup is the only sporting event in the world that provides such a genuine Roy of the Rovers experience.
“You don’t have to play for England to be able to play on this world-famous pitch.”
