Chard AC members fished the penultimate league match at Perry Street pond, conditions were hot, flat and calm and many found the going tough.
Paul Homewood did well in peg 12 to catch eleven carp shallow on pellet for 48lb 12oz and a convincing win.
Mark Hollister was second with 24lb of skimmers and carp from peg 2 and Steve Osborne was third with five good sized carp for 21lb from peg 20.
Butch Baker won the silvers with 8lb of skimmers from peg 18.
After nine matches Jamie Parkhouse leads the league with 59 points followed by Mark Hollister on 62 and Steve Bush on 65.
The final match is next Sunday and the draw is at the pond at 9am.
