ROYAL Oak maintained their four point lead at the top of Division 1 of the Top Togs evening league with an 80 run defeat of Ilminster.
Royal Oak made 148-6 thanks to scores from Mike Usher (41), Josh House (37) and Richard Elswood (32) and despite J Thompson’s 3-17.
Ilminster were 68 all out, Sam Grinter taking 4-10.
C Gould was undefeated on 74 as Crewkerne passed Thorncombe’s 136-8 with six wickets and five balls in hand.
Top scorers for Thorncombe were G Harding (54) and T Golding (50) while Rob Cornelious took 3-12.
White Horse beat Ilton by eight wickets thanks to fine knocks by P Sainsbury (56) and C Rutter (48).
Ilton had made 133-5 with Bret Venn scoring 63 and D Male 24.
Scott Wells-Burr was again in good forf for 3Cs as they reached their target against South Petherton in just 14.3 overs.
Wells-Burr hit 59 and Tom Shire 51 as 3Cs scored 150-2 in reply to 148-3.
Martock had a walkover against Perry Street who were unable to raise a team.
In Division 2 Stockland & Yarcombe stay in second place following a 16 run with over Merriott.
O Reed top scored with 41 in their total of 128-6 then Merriott replied with 112-8, Canavan hitting 49 not out in vain.
M Reed took 2-20 and J Ainsworth 2-21.
Hardington and West Coker cemented their place at the top with a 22 run defeat of Chardstock.
E Knibbs made 44 and T Pearce 36 in a total of 117-7 with J Short taking 3-11.
Chardstock replied with 84-7, M Rocket scoring 32 and M White taking 2-14.
Curry Rivel made 124 all out against Hatch Beauchamp who fell ten runs short.
In the cup quarter finals Ilminster beat Stockland & Yarcombe by three wickets and Martock beat Hardington & West Coker by 19 runs.
Draw: Royal Oak v Ilminster at Ilton, Ilton v Martock at Ilminster.
