ILMINSTER men enjoyed an emphatic victory in the second round of the National Double Rink.

Their opponents Minehead conceded after 17 ends with Ilminster 51-31 ahead.

There were also very good wins for Ilminster’s B and C teams.

The B team were away to Crewkerne, winning on two rinks, losing the other by just one shot and winning 77-48 overall.

Ilminster retain top spot in South West 1 of the Somerset league by two points from Williton.

On Friday Ilminster Ladies beat to Taunton BC 68-43 in the Fear Cup.

Ilminster welcomed Merriott BC for a four rink mixed friendly last Wednesday when the visitors won on all rinks and by 87 shots to 62.
