THE warmer weather saw lots of carp cruising about in the upper layers for Chard’s latest match.
Jamie Rich came out on top, fishing shallow in peg 14 where he caught 14 carp on banded pellet for a winning 53lb 7oz.
Paul Homewood did well to come second with 46lb 9oz from peg 18 and Alan Dunn was third with 41lb 12oz from peg 20.
Les Braunton had the best silvers weight, catching three bream and some eels on chopped worm and caster for 9lb 14oz from peg 12.
After six matches, Jamie Parkhouse leads the league with 29 points followed by Steve Bush on 43 and Steve Osborne on 45.
The next match is on Sunday, June 29. The draw is at the pond between 9am and 9.30am.
