TICKETS are now available for Somerset’s highly-anticipated Auction Dinner being held at The County Ground, in aid of the Somerset Pavilion Appeal, on Thursday July 24.

Guest speaker will be former England bowler Geoff Miller OBE and guest auctioneer Lord Archer.

Chief Executive Guy Lavender said: “I am delighted that Geoff Miller and Lord Archer have agreed to help us with our fundraising efforts for the Somerset Pavilion. “As a former international selector and player, there is little Geoff doesn’t know about the game.

“I have heard him speak on a number of occasions and he is enormously funny, knowledgeable and entertaining. “Lord Archer has enjoyed a life-long passion for Somerset County Cricket Club and we are most grateful for his support and attendance. “This will be a fantastic evening and not to be missed so please do come along and book early to avoid disappointment.”

The event will begin with a drinks reception at 7pm and be followed by a four course dinner and an auction that will feature a number of ‘money can’t buy’ lots.

Tickets are £45 + VAT for members, £50 + VAT for non members and £450 + VAT for a table of ten. Dress code is black tie.

Work on the pavilion is expected to commence at the end of the 2014 season and once completed the new building will bring the ground to the standard required to host International cricket.
