ADAM Fricker has pledged to clean up Chard Town’s disciplinary record after the Robins picked up their eighth red card of the season on Saturday.

The latest player to get his marching orders was Richard Hebditch for a strong tackle near the end of their 1-1 draw with Chippenham Park in the Toolstation league at Zembard Lane.

Fricker said: “I thought Richard was very unlucky to get sent off. The challenge was right in front of the dug-out and there was nothing wrong with it.

“And I would say we have been harshly done by with at least five of the eight decisions this season.

“However it’s something we definitely need to address before the start of next season. If we want to be challenging in the league we need to look at our discipline because we can’t afford another string of suspensions.

The Robins, who beat Westbury United 5-3 on Tuesday, have a return fixture with Chippenham tomorrow (3pm).

However Fricker is not expecting any bad blood in the encounter.

“Everyone was fine after the match,” he said.
