CHARD Town manager Adam Fricker already has one eye on next season as he takes his team to Corsham Town in the league today (3pm).

The Robins, who were beaten 2-0 by premier division Brislington last Wednesday, lie in a comfortable mid-table position without the incentives of promotion or relegation.

So Fricker will be taking the opportunity to start building for the Robins' campaign in 2014/15. Fricker, who only took over from Nick Flory in December, said: “I told the players on Saturday that our position gives us the chance to build for next season and know exactly how we want to play.

“I’m very happy with the squad I’ve got but there’s no doubt we have under-performed this season and there’s plenty of room for improvement.”

Leigh Bailey is likely to be available on Saturday following a hamstring injury but Fricker will be without the services of Oscar Latas, Mark McCormack and Andy Martin. Martin had an operation on his shoulder on Monday and is set to be out of action for five months.
