TAUNTON racegoers are all set for another exciting day of National Hunt action tomorrow when the Orchard Portman course hosts its third meeting of the month.

The first race goes to post at 1.40pm.

The seven race card has attracted 71 runners which includes horses trained by Venetia Williams, Philip Hobbs, Colin Tizzard and David Pipe while top jockeys Aidan Coleman, Richard Johnson, Tom Scudamore, Joe Tizzard, and Nick Schofield along with leading amateur Sam Waley-Cohen are all booked for rides.

The most valuable race on the card is The Bathwick Tyres Handicap Hurdle Race at 3.10pm, a Class 3 event over 2m 1f which has prize money of £9,000 up for grabs.

Punters are reminded that a courtesy bus service departs from Taunton Railway Station an hour before the off.

It picks up at Castle Green near the town centre soon after and departs from the course 30 minutes after the last race.

The next meeting is at Taunton on Thursday, February 6 when the first of the seven races on the card gets underway at 1.30pm.
