The only Perry Street league match to avoid the mass postponements attributed to waterlogged pitches on Saturday was the division two fixture which saw hosts Waytown Hounds beat Charmouth 3-2.

Steve Masters’ goal for Waytown was all that separated the sides at the halfway stage and that lead was nullified when Matt Pile levelled the scores soon after the interval.

The home side regained the advantage through Danny Dunford and then opened up a two-goal advantage on the hour with a goal from John Legg.

Paul Miners reduced the arrears with an 86th minute close range effort when Andy Potter’s free kick landed at his feet after rebounding off the crossbar.
