Moor trek for animal charity

Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Dartmoor National Park in Devon.

COMBE St Nicholas resident Colin Wimble will be challenging Dartmoor next month when he joins a team hiking 45 miles for charity.

Colin, who works in Ilminster, will be tackling the most remote terrain the moors have to offer and surviving on the bare minimum – eating army rations and sleeping under the stars.

He hopes to raise about £500 for Hambridge-based animal charity Secret World, which cares for sick and injured wild animals.

The charity, founded in 1989, is totally self-funded and relies on public support and donations to carry on its work.
