A SOUTH Petherton great-great-grandmother has celebrated her 104th birthday.
Minnie Ostler was born on July 5, 1913, as one of three children and grew up and went to school in Oddcombe.
She worked in Westlands where she made wing covers , stitching them by hand and she was also a driller. At different times in her life she also worked as a glover, seamstress and silver service waitress.
Min married Alec in 1934 they had four children.
Nowadays Min not only has grandchildren and great grandchildren but she also has great, great grandchildren.
When asked her secret for a long life, she said: “God knows, better ask him.”
She has always been active, worked hard and loved dancing especially to rock and roll.
She said she wished that she could have got up and had a jive on her birthday as she couldn't keep her feet still.
