SPRING has sprung in Combe St Nicholas after a workshop on floral card making took place in the village.

The flower arranging workshop was held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall, near Chard.

Ladies enjoyed a step-by-step demonstration by their tutor, Jackie Nicholls, who holds numerous workshops in the area.

She said: “Everyone who came along did so well. I’m very proud of them all and the designs they made. It was a really uplifting evening - and proved that Spring has finally sprung.”

One of the members of the public, Su Robinson, from Wadeford, said: “This was another excellent workshop. Jackie is a really good teacher and gave us all very helpful advice. I was really pleased with my card."

Kim Hill from Horton, Ilminster, added: “It was very relaxing and friendly and great doing something new, as well as seeing all the different designs created.”

The next workshop is being held on March 14, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, when the theme will be Spring Posy. Cost is £20 per person per workshop including basic kit and refreshments.
