BILLY Branston's spud-themed bus rolled into Shepton Beauchamp recently as the children learnt about the life of potatoes.

The double-decker bus, which came full of potato facts and figures, was visiting from the nearby Branston Ltd.

Alison Drayton, administrator at Shepton Beauchamp School, said: "It was lovely. Branstons from just down the road came and it was really really good. The children were really excited, the younger children in particular loved watching the video with Billy Branston."

One of the pupils, Mollie, said: "I like seeing the potatoes and if they were too big or ugly they went in the yellow box, if they were ok they went in the green box and if they were not ok they went in the red box.

Another pupil, Luke, said: "It was awesome and the wedges at lunchtime were great."

The project is part of the Tesco Eat Happy Project, committed to helping primary school children learn more about where their food comes from.
