THE annual Broadway Harvest Supper at the Bell Inn was another great success and helped to raise £135 for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
Twenty-four diners were able to choose between a roast carvery or good old-fashioned fish and chips.
Jane Mann, from the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute, gave a short talk on the fantastic work of the charity that supports farming people of all ages if they are in financial difficulty by giving them one-off or regular grants, as well as a providing essential household items.
For retired and disabled people RABI pays towards care home and home-help costs and also run two residential homes of its own – including one at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.
Donations were taken during the Broadway Harvest Supper, which combined with a collection taken at church, amounted to £135 for RABI.
