MEMBERS of the South Petherton Photographic Society played host to their annual exhibition of work at the weekend.

The Blake Hall was busy with visitors eager to see some fantastic photographs taken by some of the club’s 24 members at locations in this country and abroad.

Some of them were on hand to speak with people about different photography techniques and explain more about their photos.

Club meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday of each month in the Methodist Church Hall on the corner of Palmer Street and North Street in South Petherton. Membership is priced £20 per season, while it will be £3 per meeting for visitors.

The club’s first meeting of the 2015-16 season is on Wednesday, October 7, at 7.30pm where George Reekie, of Taunton Camera Club, will present a talk about his work.

George has been an enthusiastic photographer since college days with special interest in motorsport and wildlife along with other sports and travel.

The club has announced that the first meeting of the new season will be free for visitors to attend.

The annual photographic exhibition at the Blake Hall is held each year on the same day as South Petherton Carnival.
