PUPILS of Winsham Primary School had a visit from Bo the Barn owl accompanied by Chris Sperring from the Hawk and Owl Trust.

Chris spent an hour with the pupils talking about owls, their behaviour, habitat, diet and most importantly how we can help adapt our environment to make life easier for them, enabling their population to grow.

Pupils bombarded Chris with questions to get more information and they will use this information in their literacy work at school over the coming weeks.

The Forest School run by Mhairi Hallett, will now look at changing some aspects of the school field to include areas that can encourage the animals that provide food for owls and other species.
