ST MARY'S Pre-School in Barrington held a successful Christmas Fayre to raise money for the pre-school charity.
The village hall was full of stalls selling Christmas presents and carols and music from the children's choir at St Mary's and St Peter's School and the Ilminster Town Brass Band helped the Christmas mood.
They money will be used to ensure that the equipment the children play with is continually updated.
Rebecca McAlonan, pre-school secretary, said: “The staff, parents, committee members, stall holders and all those that attended, pulled together to put on a brilliant start to the Christmas season.
“Having the children from the school come to join us too was really special.
“A huge thank you to all those who supported the event through kind donations for the raffle or just turning up for the mulled wine and mince pies - it was the best start to a very Merry Christmas!”
